Elena joined our team in November 2011 after a colourful working career working in various sectors. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree, she worked as a research assistant in a haematology laboratory at St Vincent's Hospital, looking after PhD projects into the advances in haematology. Several years later a sea change followed, taking her to the ski slopes of New Zealand for a working holiday, before settling back in Sydney to take up a position involving social work. Her burning desire to work with animals meant another diversion in her career, and she is now nearing completion of her Certificate IV studies in veterinary nursing. We are lucky to benefit from her wealth of working experience here at ACVH. She has two beautiful dogs that keep her well entertained, Lucy and Ruby.
